Banani
Banani is an design copilot for Figma. It can generate app UI designs from a simple text description with AI. You can use those mockups as a solid starting point and save tone of time.
You can mix different components and themes from other apps. Pick app references, and it will do this ideation for you. With this plugin, designing new features and whole apps is literally possible in minutes.
FigPilot
Straightforward plugin that gives you access to ChatGPT right inside Figma. You can copy responses and quickly paste them into your design. I've tested a few similar plugins and found that this one is the best one from a speed and interface simplicity perspective.
A neat bonus is access to the Dall-e image generation model. It helps you to reduce context switching if you heavily use ChatGPT.
Icons8 Bg Remover
It's the best plugin for removing background from images by far. You can select one or multiple pictures and get them without backgrounds in the original size and quality. It's free and has no limits on the number of removals.
Magician
There are a few features this plugin provides, but the coolest is text to vector icon AI generation. You simply type what icon you want to get and it will generate 4 icon variants.
Icons are not production ready, but pretty usable for quick prototyping, when you don't want to spend time drawing or finding icons among different icon sets.
Cube GPT
Best plugin that I tested for UX copywriting. You can use the pre-defined actions that improve, continue, translate, shorten, or longer your texts.
You can also create custom prompts for your specific use cases. For example, give a random US full name, generate an address, etc.
Wire Gen
WireGen uses AI to generate wireframes. After typing the text description, this plugin will create a simple black-and-white mockup of the screen or page. It can save a lot of time in the wireframing process when you don't need a complex design.
Sometimes it missed what I wanted, and the generated screens were weird but if you give enough details it can generate good enough wireframes. Also, consider that it's best for landing generation, for apps I recommend using Banani.
DALL-E Bro
Quick images generation Dall-E. You can choose image variation and size to create visuals that match your needs. After generating the images, you can paste them as fills inside existing frames. It's neat since you don't need to do this manually.
I've picked this one as the best for image generation since it allows you to save your prompts to reuse them
Summary
Adding those AI Figma plugins to your workflow can greatly speed up your workflow and remove context switching, so you can focus on what really matters - coming up with great product ideas.
P.S. I'm excited about new AI plugins, so if you have some that improve your workflow find and send them to me!
